Knit I Class

STUDENTS MUST BE AGED 14 AND OLDER FOR THIS CLASS. In this knit class for beginners, students will make a 4"x4" square while learning to make a slip knot and cast on stitches using one of the most common cast-on methods. They will then progress to the knit stitch to begin adding length to their square. Students will practice a standard bind-off stitch to finish their 

Students will need one skein of chunky-weight yarn to complete their square. The recommended yarn for this beginner class is Berroco Vintage Chunky, with size US 8 or 9 knitting needles, straight or circular.

Knit I class is from 10:30am - 12:00pm. Come prepared with your supplies and yarn wound so class can begin on time.

PRE-REQUISITES: None
SUPPLIES:
+ 100 gram skein of chunky-weight yarn
+ Knitting needle size US 8 or 9
+ Scissors
+ Tapestry needle
PATTERN: Will be provided in class.
