Sami is a soft, springy-DK weight yarn spun from 100% superwash Merino wool. Its smooth twist provides excellent stitch definition, making it perfect for cables, lace, and textured patterns. Each hand-dyed skein features rich tonal color that adds depth and beauty to sweaters, cardigans, and accessories.

Sami is hand dyed by women artisans in Manos cooperatives in Uruguay's countryside. It pairs so well with Marla, which is created by plying two strands of yarn that have been dyed separately together. The result is a stunning, marled fabric where the color is even & uniformly distributed. Each colorway has a gorgeous depth of saturated color that knits into unique cardigans, pullovers, hats, cowls & other accessories.

Manos del Uruguay is a special brand of hand dyed artisan yarns that supports rural Uruguayan women. Manos is a non-profit organization that was founded to give women jobs, allowing them to be independent & support their families while being able to live in their home villages.
