Inspired by the lively push-and-pull of the dance itself, Anna Maria Parry’s simple but dramatic striped color pairings allow bold and balanced moves to take the lead or support many other styles of fabrics for gorgeous combinations. In her color explorations, Anna Maria varied the stripe widths in increments ranging from just 1/8” all the way up to 3” wide. All of these different widths - each named for a different Tango step - offer a different line style and texture to projects. Crisp lines and modern contrasts can add energy and direction to traditional designs. The palette is versatile enough to slip effortlessly between playful, painterly, or subdued.
